Our objectives

  • Approximation to the potential of tin resources exploiting from recent prehistory to the present integrating various methodologies (archaeometallurgy, geology, experimental archaeology, etnoarchaeology, archaeological prospection, mapping and literature review, historical documentation…)
  • Impact assessment of the use of these resources in the landscape, in a direct way through the remains of exploitation, and in a indirect way through settlement strategies
  • Relate the various “mining landscapes” with different social models over time
  • Set theoretical models of mining exploitation for rural enclaves
